Recruitment Sales Trainer – Calgary, Canada (3+ day a week in the office)
Full-Time | Recruitment / Staffing Industry
Are you a high-performing recruitment professional who gets as much satisfaction from developing others as you do from winning business?
We’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Sales Trainer to join an International recruitment business in Houston and play a key role in developing the next generation of high-performing recruiters, sales professionals and future leaders.
This is not a traditional classroom training role. We’re looking for someone who understands the realities of a recruitment agency environment - business development, candidate generation, client management, negotiating fees, overcoming objections and ultimately turning conversations into revenue.
The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of sales and recruitment training across the business, working with recruiters at different stages of their careers - from new hires learning the fundamentals through to experienced consultants looking to improve their commercial performance.
You’ll combine structured training with hands-on coaching, call reviews, desk-side support and practical development.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deliver engaging recruitment and sales training programs
- Coach recruiters on new business development and client acquisition
- Develop capability around cold calling, prospecting and opening new accounts
- Improve questioning, qualification and consultative selling skills
- Coach teams on objection handling, negotiation and closing
- Develop recruiters' ability to win retained, exclusive and contingent assignments
- Train consultants on effective candidate sourcing and candidate management
- Conduct call listening, role plays and live coaching
- Support onboarding and development of new recruitment consultants
- Work with experienced recruiters to improve productivity and revenue performance
- Partner with recruitment leaders to identify skills gaps and development priorities
- Track training effectiveness and improvements in individual and team performance
- Help embed a high-performance, accountable and commercially focused sales culture
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you’ll have built your career within a recruitment or staffing agency and have first-hand experience of what it takes to build a successful recruitment desk.
We’re particularly interested in people who have:
- Strong recruitment agency / staffing industry experience
- A proven background in recruitment sales and business development
- Experience winning new clients and developing accounts
- A strong understanding of the full recruitment lifecycle
- Previous training, coaching or people-development experience
- Confidence presenting to both individuals and groups
- The credibility to coach experienced, commercially focused recruiters
- A practical, energetic and engaging training style
- A strong understanding of recruitment KPIs and how activity converts into revenue
Formal L&D qualifications are welcome but not essential. Commercial credibility within recruitment is significantly more important.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to have a genuine impact on the performance and growth of a recruitment organization.
Rather than simply delivering predetermined training modules, you’ll have the opportunity to shape how recruiters are trained, coached and developed, working closely with leadership to build a scalable recruitment sales methodology.
If you’ve been successful in recruitment and are passionate about coaching people to sell better, recruit better and ultimately become more successful, we’d like to hear from you.
