We are looking for a highly experienced Dynatrace Technical Architect to lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise observability solutions. This role serves as the technical authority for Dynatrace, responsible for defining architecture standards, guiding implementations, and driving end-to-end observability strategies across complex enterprise environments.
You will act as both a solution architect and subject matter expert, supporting new implementations and migrations from legacy monitoring tools into Dynatrace.
Key Responsibilities
Observability Architecture & Strategy
- Own the end-to-end observability architecture using Dynatrace across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient monitoring and APM architectures aligned with enterprise standards
- Establish best practices, design patterns, and governance for observability across applications, infrastructure, networks, and cloud services
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Dynatrace architecture and roadmaps
Dynatrace Platform Design & Implementation
- Lead the design and implementation of Dynatrace (Managed and/or SaaS), including clusters, OneAgents, ActiveGate, extensions, and integrations
- Architect full-stack observability solutions including:
- Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
- Infrastructure Monitoring
- Digital Experience Monitoring (RUM & Synthetic)
- Log Monitoring
- Cloud and Kubernetes observability
- Define standards for data organization (management zones, tagging, tenant structure, access control)
- Ensure performance, scalability, and high availability of the Dynatrace platform
Integration & Automation
- Design integrations with enterprise platforms such as:
- ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Kubernetes and OpenShift environments
- Drive automation for monitoring, alerting, and remediation using APIs and SRE practices
- Enable shift-left observability and DevSecOps adoption
Vendor & Platform Roadmap Management
- Act as the technical liaison with Dynatrace for architecture discussions, escalations, and roadmap alignment
- Evaluate new platform capabilities and drive adoption of advanced features
- Contribute to long-term observability strategy, upgrades, and platform evolution
Documentation & Knowledge Enablement
- Develop architecture diagrams, design documents, standards, and runbooks
- Define operating models and handover processes for support teams
- Lead knowledge transfer and training across technical and operations teams
Qualifications
- 8–15 years of experience in enterprise observability, monitoring, or platform architecture
- Strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace implementation and architecture
- Deep understanding of application and infrastructure design in cloud and hybrid environments
- Dynatrace certification (Implementation or Administration preferred)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required
