This senior leadership position will lead nationwide market development and sales operations for Passenger Vehicles in Canada. The successful candidate will develop a high-performing dealer network, drive market penetration, build strategic partnerships, and deliver sustainable national sales growth.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday | Onsite 5 days per week in North York | National and international travel required

The typical hiring range for this position is $200,000 to $240,000 per year and is specific to candidates located in Ontario. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills, experience, and competencies.

Commercial Director / National Sales Director Responsibilities
- Lead the nationwide sales strategy for Passenger Vehicles in Canada and drive achievement of sales objectives
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with market opportunities and customer needs
- Establish, develop, and manage a high-performing national dealer network
- Build long-term relationships with dealers, distributors, fleet customers, and key accounts
- Lead commercial negotiations, dealer agreements, and strategic business development initiatives
- Identify market opportunities, customer trends, competitive activity, and industry developments
- Drive market penetration and brand growth across Canadian regions
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, forecasts, and business KPIs
- Develop data-driven strategies to optimize market share, profitability, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Planning, Supply Chain, Aftersales, and Operations teams
- Coordinate vehicle allocation, inventory planning, and logistics activities
- Support product launches, marketing campaigns, and national brand-building initiatives
- Provide regular market analyses, sales forecasts, and management reporting
- Travel extensively across Canada and internationally when required
Commercial Director / National Sales Director Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Management, International Trade, or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience within the automotive industry
- Proven success in national sales management, dealer network development, and market expansion
- Experience launching or scaling a passenger vehicle brand in Canada is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the Canadian automotive market, dealer operations, and retail sales channels
- Exceptional leadership, business development, strategic planning, and commercial negotiation skills
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate market data into actionable strategies
- Excellent relationship-building skills with dealers, government agencies, fleet operators, and industry stakeholders
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Existing relationships across the Canadian automotive sector strongly preferred
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel extensively
- Fluency in English required; French is considered an asset
