A Taleo client is in need of a Senior SAP Project Manager. This is a contract position and will require the candidate to be in office 3 days a week in Calgary, Alberta.
Role Description The Senior SAP Project Manager will lead end-to-end SAP initiatives, with a focus on coordinating project planning, design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities. This contract role is based on-site in Calgary, AB, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to align SAP solutions with business objectives and operational needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and issues, while ensuring effective communication and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior SAP Project Manager will oversee plant maintenance–related SAP work, guide business process improvements, and support change management and user adoption. The role also involves tracking project performance, preparing status reports, and driving continuous improvement in project implementation practices.
Qualifications
- Strong SAP Project Management skills, including leading full lifecycle SAP implementations and coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess project health, identify risks, and support informed decision-making.
- Experience with Plant Maintenance processes and related SAP modules, with the ability to translate operational requirements into system solutions.
- Solid understanding of Business Process design and optimization, including mapping, documenting, and improving workflows.
- Proven track record in Project Implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of enterprise-scale technology projects.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, SAP certification) are beneficial.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in an on-site, collaborative team environment.
- Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial sectors is an asset, along with familiarity with change management and training for end users.
