THE ROLE_
The VP, Digital Solutions is a leadership role responsible for driving the growth, commercial success, and operational excellence of Talon's digital business. This role recognizes the importance of delivering both digital strategy and executional excellence to accelerate client adoption of Talon's market-leading digital solutions while ensuring best-in-class programmatic activation. The VP, Digital Solutions, will report to the Managing Director, Canada.
A DAY IN THE LIFE_
Partnering closely with the North American leadership teams, the VP, Digital Solutions will develop and execute Talon's digital growth strategy, with responsibility for expanding digital revenue, optimizing operations, and delivering exceptional client outcomes. The role will lead the integration of strategy and activation to ensure every client engagement translates into measurable business impact.
The VP, Digital Solutions, is ultimately accountable for the performance of Talon's programmatic digital OOH business. This includes overseeing campaign strategy, platform utilization, supply and supplier management, trafficking, monitoring, optimization, reporting, operational workflows, and commercial performance. The role is responsible for ensuring campaigns are delivered efficiently, effectively, and profitably while meeting or exceeding client objectives and Talon's revenue and income targets.
Working in close partnership with Client Services and Global Digital teams, this leader will strengthen client relationships, deepen understanding of client priorities and planning processes, and champion the adoption of Talon's digital capabilities across the marketplace.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR_
- 10+ years of experience in digital media strategy, planning, and programmatic advertising within an agency, media owner, or ad technology environment.
- Be accountable for the delivery of annual and quarterly digital revenue goals.
- Develop annual and quarterly plans to increase client engagement with and adoption of Talon’s digital services.
- Direct, track, and optimize the implementation of digital growth plans to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to expand Talon’s programmatic revenue streams and recommend the steps required to capture them.
- Cultivate strong relationships with agency partners, clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders at all levels to influence buying decisions and support digital growth.
- Act as a subject matter expert in Talon’s proprietary technology stack and digital solutions, including Ada, Talon’s OOH DMP, Atlas, Talon’s DSP, and Talon’s broader data, technology, measurement, and service offerings.
- Partner with Talon’s software development teams to inform the product roadmap and support continuous improvements in product capabilities, operational efficiency, and client experience.
- Manage an effective and high-performing team, ensuring team members are supported, accountable, and equipped to deliver high-quality work.
- Role model Talon’s values and behaviors to help ensure a positive culture and tone is set across the organization.
- Work alongside client-facing teams to regularly and effectively educate and inspire agency and client partners on Talon’s digital capabilities, products, and offerings.
- Oversee the management of programmatic campaigns, ensuring they are effectively planned, delivered, optimized, and reported in full alignment with client expectations.
- Lead the end-to-end execution and oversight of programmatic campaigns, ensuring all Activation stakeholders understand and deliver against client and business requirements related to campaign setup, pacing, performance, optimization, reporting, and overall delivery.
- Partner with Talon’s inventory and SSP providers to develop smart, strategic programmatic media plan proposals for clients.
- Build and traffic programmatic campaigns within Atlas, Talon’s DSP.
- Monitor campaign delivery and analyze programmatic campaigns to ensure optimal pacing, timely delivery, and efficient outcomes for clients.
- Troubleshoot campaign delivery issues with SSPs, inventory partners, and the Atlas product team as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflow, campaign execution, internal collaboration, and the overall client experience, and lead the implementation of meaningful improvements.
- Deep knowledge of programmatic platforms, technologies, and the digital advertising ecosystem, including DSPs (i.e. Trade Desk), SSPs, ad exchanges, and campaign management tools.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex client and business challenges into actionable, commercially focused solutions.
- Commercially minded with a results-driven approach and a track record of delivering business growth and client success.
- Experience developing strategic media recommendations and overseeing efficient, high-quality campaign execution.
- Strong understanding of digital out-of-home (DOOH), out-of-home (OOH), digital advertising, audience targeting, and data-driven marketing.
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively across cross-functional teams, leadership groups, clients, agencies, media owners, and technology partners.
- Proven experience leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams, with the ability to provide coaching, manage performance, and navigate difficult conversations effectively.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and accountable, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

*Dependent upon experience, the salary for this role can range from $150,000- $200,000 CAD*
