Corporate Affairs inspires and connects customers, communities and colleagues through communications, advocacy and engagement that strengthen TD’s brand and support business outcomes. Within this department, Operations & Enablement provides the coordination, governance, reporting and project support needed to execute strategic priorities, colleague experiences and events, learning initiatives, and transformation work. The team partners with senior leaders, communicators, business leads from across the broader department to enable planning, execution and operational excellence across Corporate Affairs.
Job Description
The Corporate Affairs Operations & Enablement team strengthens how the function operates by establishing scalable programs, governance, tools, workflows and capabilities that improve execution, colleague capacity and business outcomes. The Performance Management & Strategic Enablement manager supports team and Corporate Affairs leaders by establishing the frameworks, insights, processes and governance needed to translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, measurable outcomes and coordinated action. The right candidate will lead via influence and process ownership, enabling stronger executive decision-making, greater accountability, and more consistent execution across the function.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives, this role will lead the development and ongoing management of Corporate Affairs’ performance management, measurement and reporting practices, strategy and planning initiatives, and enable the establishment of team-wide processes, workflows, and operating standards.
The role will be responsible for the integrated approach to scorecards, metrics, dashboards, reporting, business processes, and strategic initiative delivery. The ideal candidate can translate strategic priorities into clear objectives, plans and outcomes, and act as a trusted partner to leaders and teams by bringing clarity to insights and recommendations and executing with speed and discipline across deliverables.
Key Accountabilities
Performance Management & Measurement
- Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of an integrated Corporate Affairs performance management framework.
- Develop and maintain scorecards that connect enterprise and functional priorities to objectives, initiatives, outcomes, and key performance indicators.
- Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to define meaningful metrics, targets, calculation methods, data sources, ownership, and reporting cadence.
- Establish metric governance and a centralized inventory to improve consistency, data quality, comparability and accountability.
- Assess performance, trends and variances; translate findings into concise executive insights, options and recommended actions.
- Advance the function from activity and output reporting toward stronger outcome, impact and value measurement.
Executive Reporting and Insights
- Lead the design and production of dashboards, executive scorecards and recurring performance reports for leadership and stakeholder audiences.
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative inputs across teams into an aggregated view of performance, strategic progress, risks and decisions required.
- Establish common reporting templates, definitions and visual standards; identify opportunities to simplify and automate production while maintaining quality controls.
- Conduct ad hoc analysis and prepare executive-ready briefings and presentations in response to emerging priorities.
Operating Standards and Processes
- Establish team-wide processes, workflows, operating standards, intake mechanisms, decision tools and service expectations.
- Create or standardize templates, playbooks and knowledge-sharing materials of key business materials leveraged by colleagues across the function.
- Establish a consistent rhythm of business for planning, metric submissions, performance reviews, dashboard production, and executive reporting.
- Identify opportunities to simplify work, reduce duplication, improve controls and enable more effective use of resources.
- Define decision rights, approvals, escalation paths and controls for performance data and reporting.
- Ensure practices align with relevant enterprise policies and methodologies; maintain transparent documentation and support remediation where required.
Strategic Planning & Enablement
- Serve as a strategic advisor to Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Corporate Affairs leadership by translating enterprise priorities into measurable objectives, integrated workplans and executable delivery strategies.
- Lead strategic planning cycles and workbacks, business reviews and timely submission of deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement of Corporate Affairs operating models, planning processes and execution practices to strengthen organizational effectiveness and measurable business impact.
Education, Experience And Skills
- Undergraduate degree in business, strategy, finance, analytics, communications, public affairs, public policy or a related discipline.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in business management, strategic planning, performance management, measurement, analytics, reporting, operational effectiveness or program delivery.
- Demonstrated experience developing scorecards, metrics, targets, dashboards or executive reporting and translating strategy into measurable outcomes.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Copilot 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Lists, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), dashboards or comparable workflow and reporting tools.
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, & Visio process-mapping and executive-reporting capability
- Strong program and portfolio management skills, including governance, planning, reporting, dependencies, and executive-level decision support.
- Experience establishing processes, governance or operating standards and leading complex cross-functional initiatives through influence.
- Strong strategic, analytical and systems thinking, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, decision-oriented recommendations.
- Excellent written communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with credibility and sound judgment when working with senior leaders and sensitive information.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
