Position Summary
The Senior Digital Content Manager serves as a senior digital content strategist and trusted advisor to clients and internal teams. This role leads complex digital content initiatives, provides strategic guidance on content effectiveness and audience engagement, develops and advises on digital ad campaigns, with a focus on Meta, Google Ads, and other emerging platforms. and ensures digital content programs support broader communications and business objectives. The Senior Manager partners with account leaders to deliver high-impact digital experiences while advancing content best practices across the organization.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Lead the development of digital content strategies for complex client engagements and major campaigns.
- Translate business objectives and communications strategies into integrated digital content approaches.
- Advise clients and account teams on audience engagement, channel selection, content architecture, and content performance.
- Identify opportunities to enhance client outcomes through innovative digital content solutions.
- Lead strategic discussions, provide digital content counsel, own recommendations, and influence broader communications strategy.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning discussions.
- Present recommendations, insights, and performance findings to clients and stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships that support client retention and growth.
- Establish and promote best practices for digital content development, accessibility, SEO, governance, and user experience.
- Lead quality assurance efforts for high-profile content initiatives.
- Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and platforms to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Contribute to the evolution of digital content methodologies and standards across the organization.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and subject matter expertise to digital content professionals and cross-functional teams.
- Share knowledge and best practices to strengthen digital content capabilities across the organization.
- Contribute to the development of junior team members through feedback, mentoring, and collaboration.
- Contribute digital content expertise to proposals, client pitches, and business development activities.
- Identify opportunities to expand digital content services within existing client relationships.
- Partner with account leaders to strengthen client value and long-term engagement.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (master’s degree an asset).
- 6-8 years of progressive experience in digital content, digital marketing, or communications, including responsibility for leading complex digital content intiatices and providing strategic client counsel.
- Proven experience leading digital content strategy across multiple platforms and large-scale initiatives.
- Strong understanding of digital content strategy, UX/UI principles, SEO, and web optimization.
- Demonstrated strength in analytics, performance measurement, and data-informed decision-making.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, complex workflows, and external partners.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational judgment, prioritization, and decision-making ability.
- Working knowledge of analytics, marketing automation, CRM, and digital asset management tools.
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and web architecture considered an asset.
Workplace Requirements and Conditions:
- Hybrid – three (3) days per week in office
