Fractional Director of Outreach & Sector Partnerships (EverSecure)
Reports to the CEO | Retainer + Commission
About Tech Helps
Tech Helps is on a mission to end technology poverty in the social‑purpose sector. We help nonprofits, charities, community agencies, foundations, and co‑ops build secure, modern, and well‑governed technology environments so they can deliver their missions without disruption.
Our flagship platform, EverSecure, brings governance, risk, compliance, and cybersecurity together in one place. It strengthens board accountability, risk maturity, and resilience against the cyber threats that increasingly target mission‑driven organizations. With strong product‑market fit and a referral‑driven customer base, we’re ready to expand our reach through strategic sector engagement.
The Role
We’re hiring a Fractional Director of Outreach & Sector Partnerships to open doors, build trust, and generate qualified opportunities for EverSecure. You’ll draw on your existing relationships across community health centres, co‑ops, foundations, and other social‑sector organizations to connect executive leaders with our platform.
This is a door‑opening role. You focus on outreach, qualification, and relationship development. Our internal team handles proposals, pricing, and closing. You’ll report directly to the CEO.
What You’ll Do
- Engage Executive Directors, CEOs, CFOs, and board members at nonprofits across AB, BC, and ON
- Use your established network in CHCs, co‑ops, foundations, and community agencies to secure introductions
- Lead discovery conversations about governance, risk, compliance, and cybersecurity needs
- Identify board concerns and risk‑maturity challenges
- Qualify opportunities using EverSecure’s lead acceptance criteria (for example: board engagement, budget readiness, and an identifiable governance or cyber risk need)
- Provide structured handoffs to our closing team
- Keep the CRM current and meet weekly with the CEO
What You Bring
- 3+ years of sales, partnership, or relationship development experience in or alongside the nonprofit sector (CHCs, co‑ops, foundations, SaaS, MSPs, consulting, or governance tools)
- A strong, active network across the social‑purpose sector
- Comfort speaking with executive leaders and boards about governance, risk, and cybersecurity in plain language
- A trust‑first, mission‑aligned communication style
- The ability to work independently in a fractional capacity
- A reputation for opening doors and building lasting sector relationships
First 90 Days
- Establish a consistent outreach rhythm into nonprofits across AB, BC, and ON
- Generate meaningful executive‑level conversations with CEOs, Executive Directors, CFOs, and board members
- Deliver qualified opportunities that demonstrate clear governance or risk needs and readiness for EverSecure
Working Arrangement
This is an independent contractor engagement. Other non‑competing engagements are welcome. We ask that you disclose any work with vendors offering governance, risk, or cybersecurity services to the nonprofit sector.
Why Join Us
- Strengthen governance and cyber resilience across mission‑driven organizations
- Represent a proven platform with strong referral momentum
- Enjoy flexibility, meaningful impact, and a senior role built around sector relationships
How to Apply
- Send your resume and a short note about your sector network and the types of organizations you can reach to talent@technologyhelps.org. Shortlisted candidates will have an introductory call with our leadership team, followed by a conversation about outreach approach and fit.
