Tech Talent International (TTI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to startups, small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US. We are currently hiring an Business Analyst - Capital Markets Applications for our global consulting client, working for a large investment bank.

Role: Business Analyst - Capital Markets Applications

Number of Roles: 1

Location: Hybrid - Downtown Montreal, QC

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 + 9% bonus +6% RRSP matching, full health benefits from day 1, 4-5 weeks of paid vacation + many other perks

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform data analysis and collaborate with business and IT teams to gather, define, and drive project requirements.
  • Manage backlog prioritization and support delivery planning.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), perform basic database queries, troubleshoot issues, and support problem resolution.
  • Act as Product Owner by challenging requirements, negotiating priorities, and building consensus among stakeholders.
  • Understand compliance and regulatory requirements and contribute to the design and architecture of compliance applications.
  • Take ownership of critical projects and lead Operating Committee and Steering Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate project priorities across global teams located in AMER and Asia.
  • Work with production support teams to resolve Level 3 production issues.
  • Lead project sprints, Scrum ceremonies, and release meetings with stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the technology behind banking applications.
  • Good knowledge of infrastructure, web applications, Unix and Windows operating systems, and public cloud-based applications.
  • Ability to analyze problems and discuss solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management experience.
  • Scrum Master and/or Product Owner experience.
  • Experience with JIRA for backlog and task management.
  • Previous experience working with Java-based banking applications and cloud technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and Big Data databases.
  • Experience working with large data sets and performing data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Project experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
