Role Description The District Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area. This position oversees day-to-day operations within the district, including managing service centers, coordinating electrical and instrumentation projects, and ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The role includes leading and developing local teams, monitoring performance, and aligning resources to meet client needs and project requirements. The District Manager collaborates closely with project managers and customers, supports business development activities, and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities also include forecasting workload, supporting PM scheduling, enforcing company policies and safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of service delivery.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in managing operations or districts in industrial, energy, or construction environments.
- Strong leadership abilities, including team supervision, mentoring, and performance management.
- Proven capability in project coordination, scheduling, and resource allocation for multi-site operations.
- Solid understanding of electrical and instrumentation services, maintenance, and plant turnaround practices.
- Commitment to safety culture and familiarity with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement and stakeholder management.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for managing budgets, resolving operational issues, and improving processes.
- Proficiency with common business and project management software tools.
- Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the district as required.
