About the Role:
Currently, Technica is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Parts Coordinator reporting to Logistics and Warehousing Supervisor.
The Parts Coordinator owns parts coordination, inventory control, and warehouse support for Technica Mining's Sudbury facility, covering the 10-bay heavy equipment maintenance shop and the centralized critical spares warehouse. As Sudbury evolves into a centralized operational hub supporting expansion into Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, this role brings clear, dedicated accountability to materials management.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Own inventory control and accountability for the central warehouse and the 10-bay shop maintenance facility.
- Procure parts and supplies for shop and field service operations, sourcing from approved suppliers and managing purchase orders to ensure timely availability.
- Coordinate the flow of parts and materials between the warehouse and shop to close handoff gaps and reduce inventory loss.
- Track, reconcile, and cycle-count stock to maintain accuracy and prevent shrinkage.
- Manage reorder points and replenishment to prevent shortages that impact maintenance productivity.
- Receive, inspect, stage, and issue parts to shop technicians and field operations in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records in the inventory/ERP system to support reliable decision-making.
- Support the growing scale of operations as Sudbury centralizes support for new regional sites.
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies in parts handling, warehouse layout, and coordination workflows.
- Partner with the Logistics & Warehousing Supervisor to align warehouse practices with broader logistics strategy.
- Support periodic audits and physical inventory counts.
Qualifications:
- Experience in parts coordination, inventory control, or warehouse operations, ideally within mining, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance environments.
- Familiarity with inventory management or ERP/WMS systems, and comfort maintaining accurate records across a high SKU count.
- Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize and manage competing demands from shop and field operations.
- Clear communication skills to coordinate effectively between warehouse, shop, and site teams.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Physical ability to work in a warehouse/shop environment, including lifting, standing, and operating material-handling equipment; forklift certification an asset.
- Valid driver's license may be required to support occasional travel between sites.
