Role Overview
Partnering with the Process Lead - Source to Pay or delegate, the Senior Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for integrating and managing supply chain process and data. This role supports process and data documentation, controls, and alignment with organizational standards and governance policies. The specialist will collaborate with central and site supply chain teams to enhance the efficiency of supply chain workflows and data handling performance and support continuous improvement initiatives. The role is critical in support of Teck’s transformation objectives to standardize, simplify and clarify the people, processes and technology that enables and integrates between Supply Chain, Asset Management, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Supports business process and data requirements and cross collaboration with multiple teams including the Transformation Management Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (to align integration points), Asset Management, Finance, and Teck’s Management Operating System (MOS).
- Support the development of global logistics workflows and information that deliver on key operational requirement operations
- Supports functional leaders by providing insights into Supply Chain process and data inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide detailed input to Process Leads, Global Process Owners on current-state local business processes, difficulties, and improvement opportunities
- Validate future-state process designs to ensure they meet local operational needs
- Participate in requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis activities.
- Support data migration efforts by identifying and validating key data sources.
- Assist in testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), by validating functionality against local requirements.
- Support development and delivery of training materials tailored to their local site/region/teams
- Identify and escalate risks or issues related to local adoption and change management.
- Collaborate with organizational change teams to support communication and engagement efforts.
Process Definition and Maintenance
- Define, document, review, test process and data workflows, tools, and guidelines.
- Ensure alignment with organizational standards, governance policies, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain a process/data-to-service map to link processes with their corresponding service outcomes
Process Health Management
- Monitor process and data performance metrics, focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, and agility.
- Identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Regularly review and improve Supply Chain processes and data to adapt to changing business or technological needs
- Support strategic alignment by ensuring process performance management delivers measurable outcomes, positioning the organization within the top quartile TSR.
Partner Coordination
- Collaborate with service recipients to ensure process outputs support desired business outcomes.
- Align with multi-functional teams to minimize process silos and improve integration.
Change and Risk Management
- Proactively identify risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Drive process-related change initiatives in alignment with transformation goals
- Educate and train teams on guidelines, tools, and standards
- Act as the authority and knowledge resource for process, data and systems within the organization

- Operational and informational efficiency (e.g., cycle time, resource utilization)
- Efficiency of workflows and information (e.g., output quality, error rates)
- Adaptability in workflows and information handling (e.g., time to implement changes)
- Collaborator happiness regarding process and data reliability and support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in business, engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in relevant supply chain roles
- Ability to speak in English and Spanish language is essential.
- Deep understanding of internal operating and supply chain dynamics, able to use corporate intelligence to inform direction
- Proven experience and expertise with SAP and the business process field including process documentation, analysis, and optimization.
- Good ability to work across functional and geographical boundaries, building collaborative relationships to drive process integration and adoption.
- Clear communication and influencing skills including strong conflict resolution skills between leaders, business owners and functional teams.
- Ability to align process building with strategic objectives while ensuring operational efficiency at a global scale.
- Ability to assess sophisticated business procedures and information assets, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions for improvement.
