The Senior Software Developer will design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support enterprise applications. The role requires strong programming experience, preferably with Java, along with hands-on experience with Power Apps, Azure DevOps, Windows/Linux environments, databases, middleware, APIs, application monitoring, and release management. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, QA, project managers, and other IT professionals to deliver secure and reliable software solutions aligned with business and ministry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical and business requirements into working, tested applications.
- Develop and support applications using modern programming languages, preferably Java.
- Work with Power Apps and other low-code technologies.
- Use Azure DevOps and GitHub for development, source control, CI/CD, and project delivery.
- Design and implement REST API integrations using industry best practices.
- Work with Oracle 19c, DB2/Windows, and other relational database technologies.
- Diagnose and optimize queries, indexes, and server/application performance.
- Support database backup, recovery, data integrity, security, and configuration activities.
- Work with Windows and Linux server environments.
- Assess and test Change Requests (CRQs) containing technical changes and update them as required.
- Participate in release promotions, implementations, change management, and release management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical defects and production issues.
Must-Haves
- Senior-level software development experience with strong programming skills, preferably Java
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Apps / low-code platforms
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps
- Experience working with Windows and Linux server environments
- Experience with application design, development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Experience assessing and testing Change Requests (CRQs) and supporting change/release management
- Experience translating user stories/business requirements into technical solutions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Ability to create user and system documentation
