Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics & Data Architect who combines deep Dynamics 365 F&O expertise with strong enterprise data architecture and Semantic Data Layer experience.
- The successful candidate will be able to bridge the gap between Dynamics applications, enterprise data, business semantics, analytics, and application lifecycle management, while working closely with business and technology stakeholders.
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Microsoft Technology professional with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), Microsoft technology stack, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), and enterprise data architecture.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and implementing a Semantic Data Layer that enables consistent, governed, and business-friendly access to enterprise data across Microsoft Dynamics and other organizational data sources.
This is a senior-level role requiring someone who can work across business, application, data, and technology teams and translate complex business requirements into scalable Microsoft-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture leveraging the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
- Provide strong technical leadership around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
- Design and implement a Semantic Data Layer that provides a consistent business-oriented view of enterprise data.
- Define data models, business entities, relationships, definitions, and data mappings required for the semantic layer.
- Integrate data from Dynamics 365 F&O and other enterprise applications/data sources.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, application teams, data engineers, and BI/analytics teams.
- Establish data governance, data quality, security, lineage, and accessibility standards.
- Support enterprise reporting, analytics, and downstream data consumption through well-defined semantic models.
- Design and manage Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes for Microsoft Dynamics and related applications.
- Establish and maintain development, testing, release, deployment, and production management processes.
- Collaborate with development teams on source control, build/release pipelines, environment management, testing, and deployment.
- Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, application integration, automation, and overall technology efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Dynamics, data, integration, and application layers.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development and architecture teams.
Required Technical Skills
Microsoft Technology Stack
- Strong experience with the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise application and data architecture.
- Experience working with Azure-based technologies and Microsoft data platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server / Azure SQL and enterprise data integration.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong understanding of Dynamics data structures, entities, integrations, and business processes.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 F&O with enterprise data platforms and other applications.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 data extraction, transformation, and downstream consumption.
Semantic Data Layer
- Proven experience designing and implementing a Semantic Data Layer.
- Strong understanding of semantic/business data modeling.
- Ability to convert technical source data into standardized business-friendly data entities and definitions.
- Experience establishing common business definitions, relationships, hierarchies, and metrics.
- Experience supporting reporting, analytics, BI, and enterprise data consumption through semantic models.
- Understanding of data governance, lineage, metadata, and data quality.
ALM / DevOps
- Strong experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Experience with Azure DevOps and/or similar Microsoft ALM tooling.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD, build and release pipelines.
- Experience managing development, QA/UAT, and production environments.
- Experience with deployment strategies, version control, testing, and release management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of relevant technology experience, with significant experience in Microsoft technologies.
- Strong experience with Dynamics 365 F&O.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise data architecture or semantic-layer initiatives.
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of data integration and enterprise application architecture.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business teams.
