Position Summary
The Project Manager, Architectural Interiors, Montreal, is accountable for managing, assisting, and facilitating the full project lifecycle - from initial quotation to final installation - for architectural interior product lines. The role acts as a primary liaison between sales teams, dealer representatives, customers, installers, trades, and internal departments. Key objectives may include, but not limited to, preparing quotes and schedules, coordinating design/specification drawings and bills of materials (BOM), overseeing manufacturing and order processing, and monitoring installation and punch phases to deliver projects that meet or exceed customer expectations, adhere to Teknion standards, and align with company profitability and budget goals.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Order Planning & Design Coordination
- Establish pre-order meetings for required projects to determine scope, task responsibility, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with dealers, customers, and internal specification/design teams to create compliant design layouts, accurate BOMs, and pricing requests for standard and custom products outside existing wall lines.
- Develop, communicate, and track master project schedules using product lead times and key project milestones.
Order Processing & Manufacturing Oversight
- Process and split loaded orders into Teknion operating systems to generate accurate outputs for manufacturing and purchasing.
- Match purchase orders against order entry records and audit blanket purchase orders for accuracy.
- Monitor daily Project Management logs to verify on-time shipments, manage change order and delivery requests, and resolve manufacturing clarification questions promptly to eliminate production delays.
Site Delivery, Installation & Field Oversight
- Coordinate and schedule product deliveries and installation timetables directly with work sites, dealers, field project managers, and certified installers.
- Provide immediate support for critical customer/dealer claims, managing back charges, DNs, and factory escalation issues.
Post-Installation, Closeout & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-installation follow-ups with clients and installers to confirm site conditions, resolve punch list items, collect formal sign-offs, and reconcile final invoices with Finance.
- Maintain a project log/journal to document lessons learned, refine processes, improve cross-team communication, and maintain procedural consistency across the team.
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Confer with customers to provide technical assistance as it relates to projects or products.
- Prepare project or other reports for management, clients, or others
- Participate in dealer or customer training as required
- Compliance to all Teknion HR Policies including but not limited to prompt, reliable, and regular attendance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a Construction or Architectural field or a related technical/design discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience: 3–5 years of detail-oriented customer-facing experience in the office furniture industry, specifically with modular/demountable wall product lines.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading architectural drawings, blueprints, engineering schematics, and floor plans.
- Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and Google Suite.
- Ability to develop working bills of materials for custom or special products.
- Core Competencies: Strong project management, time management, and multi-tasking abilities; solid analytical decision-making capabilities; strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills; and the ability to operate effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Proficient French is required.

The expected base salary range for this position is $65,650.00 - $82,050.00. Final base salary offers will reflect an assessment of the selected candidate's skills, demonstrated competencies, and adherence to our internal pay equity framework.
