Position Description
Currently, Tetranex is seeking a full-time
Document Controller.
Responsibilities
- Process drawing and document requests in accordance with internal and client procedures.
- Perform quality checks on engineering drawings and documents, ensuring accuracy of title blocks and non-technical information.
- Manage document revisions, transmittals, and version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organize, compile, and distribute work packages in accordance with client specifications.
- Record, manage, and maintain project documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal project teams, clients, vendors, and other external contacts.
- Control and manage documents across multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
- Provide guidance and support to project team members regarding document control standards, procedures, and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized project files.
- Track incoming and outgoing supplier documentation.
- Administer interdisciplinary squad checks.
- Prepare and compile final documentation packages for project handover and closeout.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of departmental procedures and job instructions.
- Support general project administration activities as required.
- Utilize client document management systems and other project-specific systems as required.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a document control or document management role.
- Experience working with engineering or project documentation; experience within an engineering, EPC, or EPCM environment is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of document management systems, document workflows, metadata, document indexing, and filing practices.
- Experience working with varying client standards, procedures, and document requirements.
- Understanding of document revisions, transmittals, version control, and project closeout requirements.
- Experience compiling, organizing, and distributing work packages in accordance with project and client requirements.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Highly attentive to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing projects, tasks, and requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an interest in improving processes and efficiencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with McLaren EDMS is considered an asset.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu is considered an asset.
