The Bentway is a unique and innovative public space that transforms the formerly underutilized space underneath Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway into a gathering place for our city’s growing population.
Stretching from Strachan Avenue to Spadina Avenue, The Bentway knits together seven neighbourhoods – Exhibition Place, Liberty Village, Niagara, Fort York Neighbourhood, Bathurst Quay, Wellington Place and CityPlace – acting as a gateway to the waterfront and providing access to important attractions and destinations. This dynamic urban corridor activates the community with a continuous multi-use trail providing access to year-round activities and events, including public art installations, ice skating, roller skating, recreational amenities, public markets, festivals, and more.
