Cahill is currently recruiting a
Quality Inspector in the Conklin, AB area. In this role, you will work closely with the project team to monitor welding activities and conduct final visual weld inspections, ensuring all requirements outlined in inspection and test plans are followed and verified. You will also provide technical input to identify and address welding discrepancies and quality issues. Your strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to quality will help ensure project requirements and standards are consistently met.
What will you do?
- Ensure all requirements of Inspection and Test Plans are followed and verified. 2
- Verify and maintain welder qualification records. 3
- Monitor welding and carry out final weld visual inspection.
- Coordinate NDE with third-party providers and request and verify NDE completion.
- Receive, inspect and verify material in accordance with specifications.
- Provide technical input to production for welding issues as required.
- Coordinate the completion of quality control activities.
- Prepare final documentation for assessment and handover materials.
- Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities on project-related issues
What will you bring?
- Proven experience in industrial or large-scale construction projects
- Minimum CWB Level 2 certification is required with both CSA W47.1/59 and ASME B31.3 endorsement
- Relevant education, certifications, and safety training (as applicable)
- Ability to work in Western Canada, or on a rotational / project-based schedule

- Temporary Position until March 2027.
- Work Schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off
- 12 Hour Shifts
