Original job description

Are you ready to join the fastest growing hospitality and retail organization in Canada?

The Canadian Brewhouse is a proud Canadian owned and operated business headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta. We have over 100 locations that span across seven different brands, excelling in hospitality and premium retail. Our purpose is to Be the Place People Want to Be and we deliver this by providing innovative experiences for our guests, customers and supporting the communities we work and live in.

Cabinet Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to construct, assemble, and finish high-quality custom cabinetry and woodwork. You will serve a vital role in our production department, building everything from standard cabinets to complex, custom-designed restaurant millwork. Furthermore, we need an individual who will always live by our Core Values and lead every interaction with our company purpose: "Be The Place People Want To Be".

What do you bring?
You bring proven experience as a Cabinet Maker, Woodworker, or Carpenter, along with a comprehensive knowledge of wood properties, composite materials, and veneers. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is a strong plus. You possess mastery of both hand tools and stationary power tools, with CNC programming and operating experience being highly desirable. With your strong mathematical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail, you excel at calculating dimensions and ensuring precise cuts. You are physically capable of standing for 8–10 hours a day, regularly lifting and maneuvering heavy materials up to 50–75 lbs, and working safely in a shop environment while adhering strictly to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.

What will you be doing?
In this role, you will read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials and project requirements. Your daily tasks will include safely setting up and operating standard woodworking machinery - such as table saws, band saws, routers, and planers - to measure, cut, and shape wood materials. You will assemble cabinet components using various joining techniques, secure them with adhesives and fasteners, and install functional or decorative hardware. You will also conduct rigorous quality control inspections to ensure structural integrity, accurate dimensions, and a flawless appearance before any product leaves the shop floor. Your standard work hours will be 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise determined by the needs of the Business.

This role is based at our Shop location (13040 148 St NW, Edmonton).

What we offer?

Competitive total rewards package commensurate on experience
Perks and incentives driven by performance
Discount program across all brands
Growth opportunities and career development
An energizing and team-driven environment!

The Canadian Brewhouse is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply and join our team.
