The Discovery Group (TDG) is a Canadian consulting firm dedicated to the social profit and non-profit sector. We believe that purpose-driven organizations have the power to transform communities and change the world.

TDG provides services to support our clients in four interrelated areas of the social profit sector:

Board and Governance Engagement – This may take the form of establishing affiliated Foundations, leading board retreats and conducting board governance reviews. Broadly, it is work that aligns board activities and discussions to what matters most, resulting in a focused, inspired and mission-oriented leadership group.

Organizational Priority Setting and Planning – This service involves working with senior leadership to set priorities and create strategic plans in support of delivering the mission.

Fundraising Performance – Examples of this service are: providing fundraising counsel to identify, qualify and solicit prospects; conducting prospect research, campaign planning and counsel support.

Executive Search, Onboarding Support, Training, and Leadership Succession Planning – This service will include: the identification and successful recruitment of senior-level leadership positions, training for key positions within organizations and leadership succession planning.
