Role Description The Marketing Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Oakville, ON, responsible for leading the overall marketing strategy and execution for The EmpowerHer Project. This role oversees brand positioning, campaign planning, and multichannel marketing initiatives to drive awareness, engagement, and program participation. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing annual and quarterly marketing plans, coordinating market research and audience analysis, and managing marketing budgets and performance metrics. The Marketing Director will lead and mentor a small team or external partners, collaborate with program, events, and fundraising staff, and ensure consistent messaging across digital, print, and in-person channels. The role also involves fostering strategic partnerships, supporting sales and sponsorship efforts, and continuously optimizing marketing activities based on data and feedback.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Marketing Management and Marketing, with experience leading integrated campaigns and brand strategy.
- Strong skills in Market Planning and Market Research, including audience segmentation, competitive analysis, and performance measurement.
- Experience collaborating with Sales teams or partners to support revenue, sponsorships, or program enrollment.
- Proven leadership abilities, including team management, stakeholder collaboration, and vendor or agency oversight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms (e.g., social media, email marketing, CRM, web analytics).
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in mission-driven, nonprofit, or community-focused organizations is an asset.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with capacity to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines on-site in Oakville, ON.
