Join a Team That Moves What Others Can't
Precision Specialized is a leader in specialized transportation, safely moving oversized, overweight, and high-value freight across North America. Our success is built on experienced people, detailed planning, and flawless execution.
We're looking for an Operations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and wants to build a long-term career in transportation and logistics. This is an opportunity to work alongside industry experts while helping coordinate some of the most challenging freight movements on the road today.
What You'll Do
As an Operations Coordinator, you'll play a key role in keeping freight moving and customers informed. Working closely with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and operations leaders, you'll help coordinate transportation activities from planning through delivery.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate freight movements and daily transportation activities.
- Assist with load scheduling, dispatching, and resource planning.
- Prepare and maintain shipment documentation and operational records.
- Monitor load status and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
- Communicate with drivers to support safe and efficient execution of shipments.
- Help resolve service issues and respond to changing operational requirements.
- Enter and maintain accurate information within transportation and operational systems.
- Support reporting, record keeping, and general administrative activities.
- Contribute to a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to learn.
Ideal qualifications include:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with transportation, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an ability to quickly learn transportation and fleet management systems.
- A diploma, coursework, or practical experience in logistics, transportation, business administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with a growing team.
Why Join Precision Specialized?
- Work with an award-winning leader in specialized transportation.
- Gain exposure to complex freight and project logistics across North America.
- Learn from experienced transportation and operations professionals.
- Be part of a company that values Safety, Accountability, Respect, Candor, and Teamwork.
- Join a growing organization with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
- Make a visible impact by helping coordinate high-profile and challenging freight movements.
What We Offer
At Precision Specialized, we recognize that great people create great results. That's why we offer competitive compensation, meaningful career development opportunities, and the chance to work on some of the most complex transportation projects in North America.
Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and industry knowledge.
In addition, we offer:
- Paid vacation
- Company-sponsored training and professional development
- Opportunities for advancement within Precision Specialized and The GTI Group
- Exposure to specialized transportation, heavy haul, and project logistics
- A collaborative team environment where your contributions are valued
- The opportunity to work alongside experienced transportation professionals and industry leaders
"Why You'll Love Working Here"
This isn't a typical transportation coordination role.
At Precision Specialized, you'll gain hands-on exposure to oversized and overweight freight movements, route planning, permitting, project logistics, and specialized transportation solutions that few companies in North America handle.
Every day presents a new challenge. One day you may be coordinating a critical machinery move across multiple jurisdictions, and the next you may be supporting a complex project shipment requiring detailed planning and execution.
If you're looking for a career rather than just a job, you'll find opportunities to learn, grow, and develop alongside an experienced team that values Safety, Accountability, Respect, Candor, and Teamwork.
