Role Description The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at The Master Mechanic Oakville in Oakville, ON. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine vehicle maintenance, such as inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. The technician will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, complete suspension and brake work, and handle general maintenance and repair tasks according to safety and quality standards. The role also involves documenting work performed, communicating clearly with service advisors, and helping explain vehicle conditions and recommended services to customers. The technician is expected to maintain a clean, organized workspace and use shop tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and general maintenance & repair tasks.
- Proficiency in performing oil changes and related routine service checks.
- Experience in automotive repair, including troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Ability to service and repair suspension systems and related components.
- Relevant automotive trade certification or apprenticeship in progress is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, technical manuals, and diagnostic reports.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a shop environment and communicate clearly with customers and team members.
