Status - Regular Full-time Term (Upto 4 months)
In your role as Junior Developer Intern at The North West Company (NWC), you will provide support in the modernization of legacy applications using modern technologies and AI tools. You will develop, test, deploy, and support applications using Python, Oracle, and/or SQL Server while collaborating with technical and business teams.

Your Role:
- Modernize small legacy applications by developing new applications and processes using a modern technology stack.
- Use AI tools to generate code, validate, and modify according to the requirements.
- Contribute to the application team by developing, modifying, and upgrading applications.
- Perform unit testing, deploy code modules to production, and monitor results.
- Follow The North West Company's software development standards and coding guidelines
- Collaborate with The North West Company's Technical Lead and business teams.
Desired Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in software development using Python, Oracle, and/or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with AI tools and agents.
- Experience with Web UI frameworks is an asset.
- Ability to understand existing applications and business processes and migrate them to modern solutions.
- Basic understanding of IT concepts, including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal customers at all levels.
