Role Description This full-time, on-site Retail Salesperson role is located at The UPS Store in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan Area. The Retail Salesperson will assist customers with shipping, packaging, printing, mailbox services, and other in-center products and services, providing accurate information and helpful recommendations. Responsibilities include greeting customers, identifying needs, processing sales and transactions, handling cash and point-of-sale systems, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role also involves learning and applying product and service knowledge, upselling appropriate solutions, and supporting inventory management and merchandising. Team members collaborate with store leadership to ensure a positive customer experience and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including the ability to listen, explain options clearly, and interact professionally with diverse customers.
- Retail sales and general sales abilities, with experience in meeting sales goals, recommending services, and closing transactions effectively.
- Solid product knowledge or willingness to learn The UPS Store’s shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox service offerings.
- Basic math and point-of-sale skills, including cash handling, payment processing, and accuracy in transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move packages within reasonable weight limits, and perform on-site tasks safely.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous retail or customer-facing experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
- Comfort communicating in English and French language skills the Greater Montreal area are a requirement.
