The Victoria Youth Empowerment Society is a non-profit located in Victoria, BC. The organization provides prevention, intervention, treatment and education for youth, their families/caregivers and the broader community.

Mission: VYES provides responsive, individualized support to youth and their families, walking alongside them to build safety, stability, and connection while strengthening well-being and independence.

Vision: Every young person has the skills and support to shape their future and move confidently into adulthood.

The Victoria Youth Empowerment Society recognizes, acknowledges and is working to incorporate into its practices that it operates on the unceded territories of the Straits and Coast Salish Nations, including but not limited to the WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lekwengen (Songhees and Xwsepsum/Esquimalt Nations), and and W̱SÁNEĆ territory.

Services offered by YES include: youth and family counselling, community outreach, after hours pager access, referrals, assessments, specialized interventions, a missing youth system, assistance with health issues, advocacy, meeting basic needs (shelter, food, clothing, hygiene etc.), emergency crisis response (including emergency/crisis shelter services), community development, life skills training, independent living support/transitional planning, consultation and assistance with issues related to addictions, mental health, employments, housing, education, etc.
