Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Winnipeg, MB, responsible for overseeing daily operations, service delivery, and team performance within the local branch. This position manages staffing levels, client onboarding, scheduling, and quality assurance to ensure consistent, high-standard care. The General Manager leads, coaches, and develops office and field teams, setting clear goals and monitoring key performance indicators. They collaborate with Regional Director of Operations and Senior Leadership on strategic initiatives, continue to follow and implement company processes, manage and Go To Matejkey Sales, and drive growth through relationship-building with clients, families, and community partners. The role also includes problem resolution, risk management, and continuous improvement of systems to support exceptional client and family experiences.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership and people management skills, including team coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Strong operations and organizational skills, with experience in scheduling, workflow optimization, and process improvement.
- Business and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing key performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for working with clients, families, staff, and community partners.
- Customer service and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality, consistent care experiences.
- Proficiency with office software, data tracking, and reporting tools; comfort learning new systems and technologies.
- Experience in healthcare, home care, or related service industries is strongly preferred.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, Sales amd Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Winnipeg, MB, with flexibility to respond to urgent operational needs as they arise.
