We're Thunder Bay Ventures, a Community Futures Development Corporation supporting entrepreneurs across Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario since 1988.
We provide business loans, mentoring, and advisory services to entrepreneurs at every stage.
From a first idea with no capital yet, to established businesses ready to grow, modernize, or diversify.
With support from the Government of Canada through FedNor, we take on risk that traditional banks won't, so you don't stall out waiting for a "yes."
Beyond individual financing, we work on the community level too, strategic planning and economic development initiatives that help Northwestern Ontario's economy diversify beyond its forestry and manufacturing roots.
We serve entrepreneurs in Thunder Bay, Oliver Paipoonge, Shuniah, Neebing, Conmee, O'Connor, Gillies, Gull Bay First Nation, Whitesands First Nation, and Armstrong Station.
