Engagement: Contract
Duration: 4 months, with a possible 1-month extension
Rate: CAD $65/hour
Core stack: Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Dataverse, Azure, C#, .NET Core, JavaScript
About the opportunity
- Our client is modernizing its customer service operations on Dynamics 365. They need a senior developer who is equally comfortable configuring the platform and writing production .NET code.
- You will own the build of the agent experience: how cases are routed, how agents work inside Customer Service Workspace, and how Dynamics connects to the rest of the Microsoft cloud. Your work will directly shape how front-line agents serve customers.
- This is a hands-on role. You will design solutions, write the code, test it, and support it through deployment and beyond.
What you'll do
- Design and build Dynamics 365 Customer Service solutions across Power Platform, Dataverse, and Azure.
- Configure and extend Customer Service Workspace, including agent experience profiles, session templates, workstreams, and routing rules.
- Build out case management and knowledge management features for agents.
- Develop custom Web APIs and .NET services, and integrate Dynamics with other Microsoft cloud services.
- Work with Azure SQL, manage tasks in Azure DevOps, and deliver through CI/CD pipelines.
- Turn technical specifications into working code, and write unit tests for what you build.
- Troubleshoot issues and support migration, deployment, and post-launch activities.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders, document your solutions, and explain recommendations clearly.
What you must have
- 7+ years of hands-on Dynamics 365 / Dynamics CRM development.
- Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service Workspace: agent experience profiles, session templates, workstreams, and routing.
- Experience designing solutions on Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure.
- Both low-code (configuration, Power Platform) and custom (plugins, code) Dynamics 365 development.
- Working knowledge of C#, .NET, and JavaScript.
- Custom Web API development using ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Experience with Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 with other Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Experience working in an Agile team.
Nice to have
- Previous work in the Ontario public sector.
- Microsoft certifications, such as PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), MB-230 (Customer Service Functional Consultant), or AZ-204 (Azure Developer).
- Experience with Power Apps (model-driven and canvas), Power Pages, and Liquid templates.
- Experience building PCF (Power Apps Component Framework) controls.
- Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS cloud models.
- Strong technical writing for stakeholder-facing documentation.
