Parts Specialist & Shipper

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $29.00–$34.00 per hour, depending on experience
We are recruiting an experienced
Parts Specialist & Shipper to join a growing team supporting the large-equipment industry.
This position combines customer service, parts sales, inventory control, order processing, and shipping and receiving. The successful candidate will help customers and internal departments identify the correct replacement parts, prepare quotations, process orders, coordinate shipments, and maintain accurate inventory records.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Respond to parts inquiries at the counter, by telephone, and through email.
- Help customers and internal teams identify the correct replacement parts.
- Provide information regarding pricing, availability, specifications, and expected delivery times.
- Research parts using technical drawings, equipment manuals, catalogues, ERP systems, and supplier resources.
- Recommend suitable alternative or equivalent parts when required.
- Prepare quotations and accurately enter customer orders into the ERP system.
- Monitor backorders and communicate updated lead times to customers.
- Process invoices and verify pricing, sales terms, and customer information.
- Maintain accurate records of part numbers, suppliers, pricing, and equivalent components.
- Receive, inspect, organize, and prepare parts and equipment for shipment.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries.
- Support shipping and receiving activities during busy periods or employee absences.
- Complete inventory transfers, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits.
- Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records.
- Work closely with Parts Specialists, Buyers, service teams, workshop personnel, sales representatives, and other branches.
- Follow established procedures relating to parts, inventory, customer service, and warehouse operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve parts, service, inventory, and logistics processes.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in parts, customer service, purchasing, inventory management, logistics, or shipping and receiving.
- Previous experience in a parts environment supporting large equipment, industrial equipment, heavy machinery, commercial vehicles, automotive equipment, or aftermarket service.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify parts using technical information.
- Previous Mechanic experience an asset
- Experience preparing quotations, processing orders, and following up with customers.
- Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with JD Edwards, RF Smart, Gen Alpha, or another WMS/ERP system is a strong asset.
- Vocational or technical education in industrial mechanics, automotive mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field is an asset.
- Training in parts management, logistics, supply chain, or aftermarket service is an asset.
- Forklift certification and operating experience are considered assets.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
