Topa is looking for a motivated Janitor to join our team in Esterhazy. The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of the janitorial team to clean at the Potash Mine site.
Position Title: Janitorial Position - Floor Care
Location: Mosaic Esterhazy
Hours: Part Time (20 hours/week)
Start Date: Immediately
Closing: Position will remain open until a successful candidate is hired
Regular Cleaning Tasks
- Follow the cleaning schedule and assigned procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Place wet-floor and caution signs before cleaning.
- Remove debris and empty waste bins.
- Dust and wipe surfaces, furniture, doors, and high-touch areas.
- Sweep or vacuum floors.
- Damp-mop floors using the correct cleaning solution.
- Clean washrooms, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures.
- Refill soap, paper products, and other supplies.
- Clean spills immediately and report hazards or damage.
- Rinse, clean, and store equipment properly.
- Record completed work and report any issues.
Floor Stripping and Waxing Tasks
- Inspect the floor and confirm the correct product and procedure.
- Remove furniture, mats, and obstacles.
- Sweep and clean the floor.
- Apply stripping solution according to product instructions.
- Scrub the floor with the appropriate machine and pad.
- Apply thin, even coats of floor finish.
- Buff or burnish the floor when required.
- Clean and store equipment, dispose of waste correctly, and document the work.
