Salary Range: $1,816.05 $2,069.33 Biweekly

Lifeguard Instructor at
Bishop Marrocco/Thomas Merton Catholic Secondary School (1515 Bloor Street West, Toronto, Ontario, M6P 1A3).

Key Accountabilities
The primary function of this job is to work as a lifeguard in the pool and to assist in giving swimming instructions to students.
- Carries out safety checks to the pool area.
- Records daily the number of students using the pool during each period and providing total numbers to the Head Caretaker at the end of each day.
- Provides lifeguard service for the students
- Assists teachers with swimming instructions for regular classes and to modify the Aquatics program for a one-on-one with special education and special needs students
- Assists teachers in the preparation of materials for special programs and information sessions for students on water safety (e.g. boating safety, hypothermia, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid current Certificate from the National Lifeguard Services
- Bronze Cross from the Royal Life Saving Society Canada
- Minimum six (6) months related experience
