Position Overview
The Enrolment & Programming Coordinator is responsible for supporting the growth, development, and day-to-day coordination of Toronto Fashion Academy’s educational programming and student enrolment activities.
- This is a dynamic, highly collaborative role that combines student recruitment, admissions, program coordination, event programming, communications, and industry engagement. The successful candidate will act as an important point of contact for prospective and current students while helping develop programming that responds to the needs of today’s fashion industry.
- The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, personable, creative, and passionate about fashion education. They should be comfortable communicating with prospective students and parents, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, developing new programming ideas, and representing TFA at events and industry activities.
Key Responsibilities
Enrolment & Student Recruitment
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students through email, phone, social media, and other communication channels.
- Guide prospective students through the enrolment process, including program selection, registration, payment, scheduling, and next steps.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain consistent communication throughout the decision-making and enrolment process.
- Communicate the value, structure, career opportunities, and unique benefits of TFA programs and workshops.
- Conduct consultations with prospective students to understand their interests, goals, experience, and career aspirations.
- Support enrolment campaigns and initiatives designed to increase student conversion and retention.
- Maintain accurate records of prospective and enrolled students.
- Track enquiries, conversions, enrolment numbers, and other relevant recruitment metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve the student recruitment and enrolment experience.
Programming & Curriculum Coordination
- Coordinate the development, scheduling, and delivery of TFA workshops, short courses, bootcamps, and educational programs.
- Assist in developing new programming based on industry trends, student demand, and emerging career opportunities.
- Work with instructors, industry professionals, artists, designers, photographers, models, stylists, and other collaborators to coordinate educational experiences.
- Develop and maintain program descriptions, course information, schedules, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate instructors, guest speakers, venues, equipment, materials, and other logistical requirements.
- Ensure programs are properly organized and ready for delivery.
- Collect student feedback and identify opportunities for continuous program improvement.
- Support the development of specialized workshops and industry-focused educational experiences.
Events & Industry Engagement
- Coordinate student participation in fashion shows, photoshoots, networking events, competitions, activations, and other industry opportunities.
- Help create opportunities for students to gain practical experience and develop professional portfolios.
- Coordinate relationships with industry professionals, brands, organizations, venues, and event partners.
- Assist with event logistics, scheduling, student communications, registration, and on-site coordination.
- Support TFA’s participation in external fashion and creative-industry events.
- Identify potential partnerships and opportunities that can provide students with meaningful industry exposure.
Student Experience & Administration
- Serve as a key point of contact for students before, during, and after their programs.
- Ensure students receive timely information regarding schedules, locations, requirements, events, and program expectations.
- Coordinate student registrations, attendance, certificates, forms, and other program documentation.
- Maintain organized student and program records.
- Address student questions and concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Support a welcoming, professional, and inspiring student experience.
- Assist with certificate distribution and completion tracking.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in education, admissions, student services, program coordination, fashion, events, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the fashion and creative industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience working with prospective students, clients, or customers is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.
