Job Description
The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (https://tirf.ca/) is seeking several motivated individuals to assist with participant recruitment for a research study being conducted on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO).
The study focuses on understanding driver training experiences among individuals preparing for G2 and full G road tests in Ontario. Recruitment assistants will help increase awareness of the survey and encourage eligible participants to take part. They will not be involved in administering the questionnaire.
This is a short-term contract role and is suitable for individuals interested in research, outreach, or community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
> Promote the study and invite eligible participants to complete a short online survey
> Share the survey invitation and flyer with eligible individuals in public spaces or student environments
> Assist with distributing recruitment materials (flyers and QR codes)
> Engage respectfully with potential participants and briefly explain the study when needed
> Track recruitment activities and provide basic feedback to the research team
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will:
> Be comfortable approaching and speaking with people in a friendly and professional manner
> Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
> Be reliable and organized
> Be familiar with student environments in Ontario
> Be able to work independently
Job Details
> Location: Ontario (including Toronto, Ottawa, and Northern Ontario), in areas with high student traffic.
> Schedule: Flexible hours
> Estimated time: 8–12 hours total
> Compensation: $20–$24 per hour
