About the Role:
Tramontina Canada is seeking to hire an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager for our new Distribution Center in Oakville Ontario, Canada L6H 1A7.
The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of the warehouse and distribution center within the wholesale trade industry. This position is directly responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse activities, with a core focus on driving accuracy and timeliness across all shipping and receiving, order picking, production operations. Utilizing SAP as the central enterprise management system, the Warehouse Manager maintains real-time oversight of inventory control, order fulfillment, and logistics coordination.
Working closely with the General Manager (GM) to align all distribution center goals with strategic business objectives, the Warehouse Manager collaborates across multiple departments to foster a deep understanding of how DC operations impact the broader business and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role provides direct supervisory leadership, guidance, and training to a staff of five employees, ensuring high standards of safety, productivity, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving Operations: Direct and take full accountability for all incoming and outgoing freight activities. Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures for dock operations, order accuracy, carrier compliance, and timely goods movement.
- SAP System Administration & Inventory Control: Leverage SAP as the primary system to record, track, and manage all inventory transactions, inbound receiving logs, outbound shipments, and stock movements with high precision.
- Departmental Oversight & Strategic Alignment: Supervise day-to-day warehouse workflows - including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping - and work closely with the GM to ensure operational metrics align with company goals.
- Team Leadership & Development: Provide active supervisory direction, coaching, and training to a team of five warehouse employees (including forklift operators) to maintain safety compliance and optimal throughput.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, procurement, and supply chain teams to build cross-departmental alignment, ensuring all stakeholders understand distribution center workflows and customer delivery expectations.
- Logistics & Customer Service: Collaborate with freight logistics partners to streamline inbound/outbound schedules and ensure customer orders are accurately processed in SAP and dispatched without delay.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar supervisory role within wholesale trade or logistics.
- Hands-on proficiency and practical experience using SAP (e.g., SAP WM, SAP EWM) for warehouse and inventory management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of shipping and receiving workflows, dock procedures, and distribution center operations.
- Certification or demonstrated proficiency in forklift operation.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with direct experience managing and directing a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced expertise in SAP warehouse modules and inventory reporting functions.
- Experience with supply chain optimization, lean warehousing principles, and shipping logistics.
- Familiarity with advanced warehouse automation systems integrated with SAP.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics Manager (CLM).
