Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $101,000 to 139,000. The final offer will be determined based on the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Please note that the offer may fall anywhere within the posted range and is not necessarily at the top end.

Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for supporting project and contract management of the technical components of the Fraser River Tunnel Project through all phases of the project management lifecycle, including project planning, contract management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, cost control, and technical deliverable coordination.

Key Accountabilities:
- Develops and implements project work plans that define scope, key deliverables, and milestones.
- Coordinates and collaborates with project contractors, designers, and owner engineers, including tracking commitments and facilitating information sharing.
- Serves as the Project’s Contract Manager for one or more contracted resources.
- Works closely with the Marine Navigation Advisor to coordinate construction schedules and durations, and to identify and manage marine construction risks in accordance with the Project Risk Management Plan.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for key technical marine stakeholders, including organizing engagement activities, tracking commitments, and facilitating information sharing.
- Supports environmental assessment and regulatory permitting processes by providing technical expertise and input.
- Delivers presentations and provides project updates, recommendations, and advice to external stakeholders and senior management.
- Manages cost controls within assigned areas of responsibility, including issuing and administering Task Assignment Letters (TALs), and preparing monthly financial progress reports and quarterly cost reports.
- Provides leadership, direction, and coordination to the technical team in the delivery of major project deliverables.
- Mentors and coaches project managers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development support to enhance individual performance and strengthen organizational project management capability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Engineering and several years of recent related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certificate or designation is an asset.
- Experience managing multiple projects or leading a component of a large capital infrastructure project.
- Familiarity with procurement and administration of construction and/or technical consulting services for transportation related infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate, manage and successfully deliver work across complex project structures and/or integrated teams.
- Experience with issues management and the ability to anticipate and evaluate emerging matters, and to create feasible and cost-effective solutions to support identified gaps.
- Experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders.
- Experience with budget management and procurement.
Preference may be given to applicants who have relevant experience on transportation infrastructure projects in an urban setting.
