The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Reefer Technician to join our Maintenance & Procurement department.
The Reefer Technician plays a critical role in inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing truck and trailer refrigeration units to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and cold chain integrity. Reporting directly to the Shop Supervisor (or Operations Manager), this role is accountable for maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment while providing high-quality, cost-effective maintenance service and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role also presents opportunities to advance into more senior roles within Shop Operations.

Download unit data, clear codes/alarms, install software revisions/Opti-set, and safely execute mechanical/electrical repairs using welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Determine required courses of action, create work reports, and explain work/cost estimates to customers when necessary.

- Records Management: Maintain accurate, legible inspection forms, Work Orders, and paperwork to ensure correct billing, inventory management, and KPI tracking. Record unit mileage, engine hours, and actual time spent on each repair line for SRT accuracy. Promptly input data into appropriate software systems.
- Continuous Improvement & Leadership: Align with shop KPIs (SRT overage, productivity, quality, absenteeism, and WCB incidents).
