As an Application Architect, you will own the technical architecture of the Inventory 360 platform from discovery through final build. Acting as the technical lead, you will make critical platform-fit decisions, determining when workflows should reside in Databricks Apps versus custom React/Node.js front ends. This role demands hands-on solutioning, expertise in the Databricks environment, and the ability to set technical standards that guide the product from strategy to live execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Ownership → Lead technical design across discovery, solutioning, and build phases.
- Platform-fit Decisions → Evaluate workflows to determine optimal placement in Databricks Apps vs. custom React/Node.js front ends.
- Databricks Expertise → Leverage Unity Catalog, Genie, and Databricks-native capabilities to define standards, API patterns, and development guidelines.
- Technical Leadership → Serve as escalation point for engineering teams, ensuring architectural integrity and delivery excellence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration → Partner with business stakeholders to defend architecture decisions and align technical strategy with business outcomes.
- Consultative Engagement → Act as a client-facing leader, guiding product evolution from concept to execution.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Fullstack Development background with Node.js and React.js.
- Experience building and scaling Databricks Apps.
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks Unity Catalog and Genie (Good to have)
- Ability to set API patterns, coding standards, and development guidelines.
- Track record of client-facing consulting and defending technical decisions with business stakeholders.
- 10+ years in application architecture, with at least 2+ years in Databricks-centric environments.
