About the Role
TRG Staffing Solutions is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Recruitment Consultant to join our Mississauga Head Office team on a contract basis.
This position will support our high-volume industrial clients across the GTA, recruiting for warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, production, and general labour positions.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced staffing environment, understands the urgency of high-volume recruitment, and is comfortable managing multiple client requirements simultaneously. You will be responsible for building strong candidate pipelines, responding to changing workforce demands, and ensuring qualified associates are successfully recruited, onboarded, and deployed to our client locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment cycle for high-volume industrial and warehouse positions, from sourcing through onboarding and placement.
- Source candidates through multiple job boards, internal databases, referrals, social media, community outreach, and other recruitment channels.
- Conduct high-volume telephone, virtual, and in-person interviews to assess candidate experience, availability, transportation, shift flexibility, compensation expectations, and overall suitability.
- Build and continuously maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated client requirements.
- Respond quickly to urgent, same-day, and high-volume staffing requests, including last-minute replacements and additional headcount requirements.
- Coordinate candidate onboarding, documentation, reference checks, background checks, certifications, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Ensure candidates fully understand job duties, schedules, workplace expectations, safety requirements, location, and assignment details prior to placement.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Follow up with placed associates to support attendance, retention, performance, and successful assignment completion.
- Manage candidate cancellations, no-shows, call-offs, replacements, and other staffing changes.
- Work closely with Account Managers, Operations, Onsite teams, and other internal stakeholders to understand client requirements and establish recruitment priorities.
- Monitor open orders, fill rates, candidate availability, upcoming workforce requirements, and recruitment pipelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records, interview notes, documentation, and recruitment activities within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Ensure recruitment and onboarding practices are completed in accordance with company policies and applicable employment standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in recruitment, staffing, talent acquisition, or high-volume hiring is an asset.
- Experience within a staffing agency environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience recruiting for warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, production, or other industrial positions is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume recruitment and multiple open requirements simultaneously.
- Comfortable conducting a high volume of candidate calls and interviews.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to adapt quickly to changing client requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing requirements while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with Applicant Tracking Systems, job boards, Microsoft Office, and other recruitment technology.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with recruitment, operations, and client-facing teams.
