Role Description The Insurance Agent is a part-time, hybrid role based in Beaumont, AB, with a mix of in-office client meetings and work-from-home responsibilities. The agent will consult with clients to assess their needs, recommend suitable insurance and financial products, and prepare tailored proposals. Day-to-day tasks include handling inquiries, conducting policy reviews, processing applications, and supporting clients throughout the claims process. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in company systems, building lasting client relationships, and participating in local outreach or networking activities to grow the client base. Collaboration with internal teams and insurance partners is expected to ensure compliance with guidelines and consistent service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong Insurance Sales and general Insurance knowledge, with the ability to match products to client needs.
- Experience in Insurance Brokerage or working with multiple carriers, including understanding of policy structures and underwriting processes.
- Foundational Finance skills to explain savings, investment, and retirement products clearly and responsibly.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and empathy in client interactions.
- Valid insurance license for Alberta, or eligibility and willingness to obtain licensing within a defined timeframe.
- Proficiency with basic office software and CRM tools, and strong attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage a part-time schedule, and prioritize multiple client requests.
- Previous experience in personal lines, life and health insurance, or financial services is an asset; multilingual communication is a plus.
