The Jewish Security Network is hiring a Research Analyst to support its research and intelligence functions. The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, investigating incidents and emerging developments, identifying relevant risks and trends, and producing clear, actionable assessments for internal stakeholders, law enforcement, and security partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Open-Source Research: Conduct OSINT research across social media, online forums, public records, news sources, and other open-source environments.
- Investigations: Research incidents, individuals, organizations, and developments to identify connections, assess significance, and identify potential risks.
- Analysis: Analyze information and datasets to identify patterns, trends, inconsistencies, and indicators of potential threats.
- Reporting: Produce clear, concise, and well-supported reports, alerts, and assessments for operational and external stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to support information sharing and community safety.
Job Requirements
We are seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious researcher with strong analytical judgment, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as political science, international relations, security studies, or another research-intensive discipline.
- Strong research and analytical experience, including professional, academic, investigative, intelligence, OSINT, or other research-focused work.
- Ability to conduct independent research, assess source reliability, identify patterns, and draw well-supported conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and well-organized reports.
- Familiarity with social media, online forums, public records, news sources, and other open-source information resources.
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to distinguish relevant information from noise.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adapt to evolving requirements.
- Strong teamwork, discretion, confidentiality, and data-protection awareness.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours when required (mutual flexibility assured).
Assets
- Experience in security, intelligence, risk analysis, or investigative research.
- Knowledge of the Canadian threat landscape, including extremism, terrorism, politically motivated violence, and hate-motivated activity.
- Experience with advanced OSINT techniques, social media monitoring tools, databases, or investigative technologies.
- Experience producing intelligence or threat-assessment reports for law enforcement, security, government, or other professional audiences.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a salary of $70,000-$90,000 based on experice plus a full benefits package.
