Salary Range: $23.58 - $29.48 per hour
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program activities for the Development of a Charter of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights in Prisons project.
- Coordinates project activities including the collation of evidence and policies, and the consideration of the ethical conduct of the program activities.
- Collaborates with interest holders and partners to develop skills in qualitative data collection, analysis, and knowledge mobilization.
- Oversees participant recruitment for qualitative interviews.
- Pursues professional development opportunities and attends training sessions to improve competency and skills
- Acts as a liaison between the project and interest holders nationally and internationally, including decision-makers in health and justice ministries, community/frontline organizations, clinical and research collaborators.
- Seeks out and gains cooperation of the program partners and participants.
- Maintains communication with project members (email, phone and in-person)
- Organizes in-person and virtual meetings, including preparation of the agenda and minutes.
- Provides a lived experience expert lens for people experiencing incarceration by considering the relevance of project objectives and activities, ensuring knowledge mobilization products and useful.
- Represents lived experience expertise at national and international tables.
- Supervision of project personnel, graduate students and support of lived expertise experts with histories of incarceration.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma
- Lived experience with incarceration in both federal and provincial correctional institutions, providing a strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals in each environment.
- Experience collaborating with researchers and contributing to research-related initiatives.
- Experience working within health care and/or social service organizations.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Additional Strengths
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including MS Teams and Word, virtual meetings using Zoom
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making and time management skills.
