UNDO is a world-leading carbon dioxide removal project developer specialising in enhanced rock weathering.

Enhanced rock weathering is a nature-based carbon removal technology that permanently removes CO₂ from the atmosphere. It accelerates the natural geological process of weathering, which has helped regulate Earth’s climate for millions of years.

UNDO does this by spreading finely crushed silicate rock onto agricultural land, where rainwater, plants and soil microbes help speed up the weathering reaction. As the rock breaks down, CO₂ dissolved in rainwater is converted into bicarbonate and safely transported through soils and waterways, eventually reaching the ocean, where it is stored over geological timescales.

By working with existing mining, quarrying, logistics and agricultural infrastructure, UNDO is building a scalable pathway for permanent carbon removal that can be deployed alongside normal farming operations. This approach is supported by UNDO’s proprietary technology platform, NEWTON, which connects operational, field and laboratory data to help track activity from quarry to farm to verification.

UNDO’s work is also underpinned by scientific research and measurement innovation. This includes SAT-C, our patent-pending soil porewater extraction technique, developed to strengthen enhanced rock weathering measurement by improving access to reliable porewater data under variable field conditions. UNDO is scaling enhanced rock weathering with partners across science, agriculture, technology and finance. We work with leading organisations including Microsoft, Barclays, British Airways and McLaren Racing, and were named one of four global winners of the $100 million XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition.
