Founded in 2000, UTAM is the investment manager for the University of Toronto’s Endowment portfolio and short-term working capital assets. We are committed to producing strong investment results over the long term, advancing the University of Toronto’s goals for its portfolios through skilled and disciplined investment management, leadership in responsible investing, and prudent risk management within a strong governance framework.

In fulfilling our mandate, we follow a manager of managers approach, selecting investment managers anchored by sound investment and operational risk management diligence processes. And as our mission states, we invest with a long-term horizon.

We currently manage approximately $9.0 billion in total assets. In 2024, the Endowment portfolio generated a one-year return of 14.9% and a 10-year annualized return of 8.1%. The short-term working capital portfolio generated a one-year return of 6.4% and a 10-year annualized return of 2.3%. All returns are reported net of all fees and expenses, including UTAM costs.
