About the position
Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment at the terminal and at marine docks to ensure continuous, safe and effective operation. You will need to be familiar with the operation of mechanical equipment and their applications to make repairs according to established standards. You will mainly be required to perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance tasks such as providing assistance during the commissioning of pipes and tanks, the assembly of bolted joints, problem diagnosis, the replacement of mechanical parts, welding or any other industrial mechanics-related duties performed at a terminal. You will be operating machinery such as hoists, vacuum trucks or telescoping mast lifts for maintenance purposes.
The maintenance technician shall work on a multidisciplinary team made up of ten technicians and may be called upon to help maintain assets in all maintenance fields. Several types of training and skills development opportunities shall be available and offered to the selected candidate throughout their career.
Qualifications
· Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Maintenance Technology
OR a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in a related field supplemented by a combination of training and experience deemed to be relevant and equivalent.
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting
· Experience in the petroleum field: an asset
· Experience and skills in machining: an asset
· Versatility: interest in several fields, including electromechanics and pipefitting
· Functional knowledge of English
· Teamwork-oriented.
