Role Description The Grade 1 Teacher is a full-time, maternity leave position located in Osler, SK. The role includes planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with school curriculum and Christian values, assessing student progress, and adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs. The Grade 1 Teacher will foster a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate space that promotes spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth. Daily responsibilities involve classroom management, communication with families and colleagues, participation in school events and chapel, and collaboration with staff to support school-wide initiatives. The teacher is expected to model Christian faith and conduct, integrating prayer, biblical teaching, and character formation into everyday classroom activities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Elementary Education, with the ability to create age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences.
- Experience with Curriculum Development and Education, including planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional programs.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting effectively with students, families, and colleagues in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification; eligibility for Saskatchewan teaching certification 'Professional A' is required.
- Understanding of and commitment to Christian education, with the ability to integrate biblical principles into classroom instruction.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively, support diverse learning needs, and use assessment to guide instruction.
