We are currently seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to join our team in North Vancouver. Reporting to the Commercial Director, this leadership role is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that maximize value, strengthen supplier partnerships, reduce risk, and support the successful delivery of our projects.

What You'll Do
As Procurement Manager, you will lead and manage centralized procurement activities across direct and indirect spend categories while supporting major marine and heavy civil construction projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and project requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement best practices to improve efficiency and value.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection processes, and contract negotiations.
- Establish, develop, and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, master service agreements, and critical supply contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance, service levels, quality standards, and contractual compliance.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, operations, construction, estimating, finance, and executive leadership.
- Support project procurement planning, risk mitigation, and supply chain continuity.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to support informed procurement decisions.
- Mentor and support the ongoing development of procurement personnel and procurement processes.
What You Bring
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- CPP and/or SCMP designation required.
- MBA considered a strong asset.
- Minimum 5 -8 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably within:
Marine Construction, Heavy Civil Construction, Infrastructure Projects, Industrial Construction
- Strong contract negotiation and commercial management experience.
- Proven ability to develop strategic supplier relationships and deliver measurable value.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency with: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience working within a project-based environment is highly desirable.

Salary: $130 - $145k per annum
The actual salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on job‑related factors including relevant experience, years of experience, qualifications, internal equity, and Carlson Construction Group’s compensation policy.
