Reporting to the Manager, CAPA, the function is responsible to lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) projects to solve internal or supplier related issues. You will lead cross-functional engineering, production, procurement and QC teams to investigate product failures, machining deviations, and material defects. Your role ensures our products meet strict safety and industry performance standards.

Responsibilities
- Defect Investigation: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for valve assembly failures, pressure test leaks, casting porosities, and machining non-conformances using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and FMEA.
- Action Plan Development: Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering and Procurement to design corrective actions for welding, machining, assembly, and performance testing
- Effectiveness Verification: Develop and execute testing protocols to verify that process changes permanently eliminate design or manufacturing defects.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure CAPA records align with industrial valve standards including ASME (Section III, B16.34), and ISO 9001.
- Supplier Quality CAPA: Lead CAPA activities with supplier quality team members, procurement and suppliers representatives to improve supplier’s performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
- 3-5+ years of quality engineering experience in heavy manufacturing, ideally involving valves, pumps, pressure vessels, or rotating equipment.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT), geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing practices
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is highly desirable.
- Bilingual: French and English (Oral and written)
