Role Description The Bookkeeper is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations. Day-to-day tasks include recording and reconciling transactions, posting journal entries, preparing and updating ledgers, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. The role involves working with accounting software to manage accounts payable and receivable, monitor cash flow, and support month-end and year-end closings. The Bookkeeper will collaborate with operations and management to provide timely financial information, respond to inquiries, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and relevant accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills with experience in recording and reconciling transactions and maintaining ledgers.
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements to support business decision-making.
- Proficiency with accounting software and familiarity with general finance principles.
- Experience posting and managing journal entries (accounting) with attention to accuracy and compliance.
