Company Description
Vintage Frames Company is a global leader in luxury vintage eyewear, originally founded by CEO Corey Shapiro to source rare, unworn, one-of-a-kind frames for celebrity and VIP clients. In 2018, the brand expanded into designing its own collections, VF by Vintage Frames Company, blending iconic styles from fashion history with modern details. The company is committed to quality craftsmanship, using traditional techniques even as technology evolves, to deliver high-end, distinctive accessories. Customers can experience the brand at its flagship stores in Montreal & Miami, online at VintageFramesCompany.com, and through select retailers globally.
Role Description
The Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC, reporting directly to the COO and Founder. This is a new role, and it centers on the fastest-growing part of our business: live selling.
We run live shopping shows multiple days a week across Montreal and Miami, and we are scaling toward daily programming. You will own the operations that make that possible. If you have never worked in live commerce, that is fine. We are looking for a strong operator who can learn the channel, not someone who has already done this exact job.
This role manages show scheduling and back-end setup, staffing and workflow planning, and process optimization to ensure every show runs smoothly, orders are fulfilled quickly and accurately, and inventory moves reliably between our Montreal and Miami locations. The Operations Manager works closely with leadership, merchandising, retail teams, and warehouse staff to implement standard operating procedures, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement in both customer experience and operational performance.
Key responsibilities include coordinating cross-border logistics and fulfillment, recruiting and training show hosts and moderators, tracking hours and pay for show staff, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring operational readiness for daily programming, product launches, and seasonal peaks. The role also involves tracking production costs against show revenue, reporting on sell-through and performance metrics, identifying risks, and recommending data-driven solutions to improve productivity and profitability.
This is a build role as much as a run role. As the business scales toward daily live programming across multiple platforms, you will create the systems, documentation, and team that make that growth possible.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in operations, production, live events, broadcast, or retail operations, with a track record of running things on a deadline
- Comfort building in a new and fast-changing environment, where the process does not exist yet and priorities shift as the business scales
- Experience recruiting, training, and scheduling a small team, ideally in a shift-based or shoot-day environment
- Strong process management: creating standard operating procedures and getting them adopted by teams that do not report to you
- Experience managing external agencies, vendors, or service providers, including holding them to scope, deliverables, and budget
- Logistics fluency, including shipment coordination, inventory movement between locations, and cross-border or customs experience
- Analytical skill with operational and sales data: comfortable owning a budget, tracking cost against revenue, and bringing recommendations rather than raw numbers
- Calm and decisive under live conditions, where problems have to be solved in the moment and there is no pause button
- Clear communicator across leadership, merchandising, retail, warehouse, and finance
- Availability to work a flexible schedule around the show calendar, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel to our Miami Beach location for a few days each month
- Valid passport and the ability to travel to and from the United States without restriction
- Experience in fashion, luxury, eyewear, or resale is an asset
- Experience with Whatnot, TikTok Shop, or another live selling platform is a strong asset, but not required
- Fluent English is required for this role, as it involves daily coordination with our Miami Beach location, US-based partners and service providers, and English-speaking leadership. French is an asset.
